BECOMING A MEMBER
DURING OUR SERVICES
On Sunday, a parish member, greeter or usher will welcome you as you enter through our doors.
-An usher will provide you with a bulletin outlining the order of worship, including hymn numbers, liturgy, etc. You will also find in each book rack The Book of Common Prayer, the 1982 Hymnal as well as LEVAS and Wonder, Love, and Praise.
--Please feel free to ask the person sitting next to you for any assistance you may need.
--Restrooms are located through the rear door, to the right, and up the short flight of stairs.
If you receive communion in your home-church, you're welcome to receive it here too. Simply come forward and hold out your hands. If you don't wish to receive communion, but would like to have a blessing, please come forward and cross your arms over your chest like an X.
While visiting, we would appreciate your signing the guest registry located in the Narthex or completing a BLUE visitor card you'll find tucked into the book racks.

FAITH FORMATION AT ST MARTIN'S
Faith formation opportunities are provided for all ages--children to adult. Sunday School classes meet weekly at 10:00am during the academic year ages pre-school through senior high. We have qualified, trained teachers in every classroom. Adult formation takes many formats responding to the needs of attendees. Frequently video programs are presented followed by interesting discussion on a wide variety of topics.

Childcare is available during the 9:15am and 11:00am services in the nursery, downstairs on the first floor. Our caregivers have completed safe-church training to provide a safe and nurturing environment. Children are welcome in church services. Ask the usher for a stuffed animal, bag of crayons and coloring books from the "crayon tree" children's area in the Narthex.

To become a member of St. Martin's, please speak with a priest following or before a service, or call our office (757-229-1111) and speak with one of our priests or our helpful staff. They will be glad to talk with you about becoming an Episcopalian or transferring your membership from your previous church. . Or email our Parish Office. We will be happy to answer any of your questions and/or connect you with the right person.

Following the 8:00 service coffee is available in the Narthex. At 10:00 following the 9:15 service, coffee is available in the upper corridor and Miles Hall. This is a great opportunity for you to meet folks and let us get to know you.
