Volunteerism is critical and indispensable to St. Martin's vibrancy and ability to reach out to communities and people in need, as well as providing services to the members of the church itself.

Most of the ministry that happens at St. Martin's is volunteer ministry. There are multiple ways you and your family members can be actively involved and make a significant contribution to St. Martin's and the wider Williamsburg community. Volunteers decide their own time commitment and put to use a wide range of individual talents and experiences. Your involvement can range from the occasional hour or two when a last minute request for help is received to regular, on-going active involvement in a recurring community ministry or church need. Regardless of your gifts and talent--teaching, sewing, knitting, cooking, clerical ability, counselling, entertaining, organizing, as a prayer leader, worship leader, working with your hands, -we have a place and a need for your skills. Details about St. Martin's ministries and volunteer needs can be found on the Outreach Chart of all activities, agencies, and organizations supported by this church. Additional information can be found in the Booklet of Ministries available here on the web. Click here to access the book or to view the chart

We need you to volunteer in any way that you can. Please complete this form to help the Outreach Commission gain knowledge of your interest and willingness to contribute. Your involvement is important. Only through the efforts of folks like you can we become Christ's hands and heart in helping those in need.

What We Do

Picture
  • St. Martin's is called to serve people inside and outside the church.
  • St. Martin’s Outreach Commission’s overall goal is to be alert to ongoing needs on local, regional, national and international levels so we can provide parish support.
  • Along with financial help we want to involve the parish community in volunteer opportunities so we can engage closely with people in need outside our congregation and truly grow as the Body of Christ.
  • We look for new ways to encourage and facilitate Christian fellowship through the personal involvement of parishioners in the organizations and programs needing parish support.

The Mission of Christ

It is the desire of Christ that we become His  Hands and Hearts in the world! We can do this by helping those who need us.
